Most everyone has something in their life they wish to work on or through, together we can explore those situations and work towards the goals you wish to set.
Therapy with me is a collaborative process where I am working alongside you in the process. Along with this collaborative relationship, I also utilize different mindfulness practices. My counseling theory lies within a mix of Person-Centered Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Together I believe we can achieve the goals you wish to set for yourself. I understand this journey is not going to be an easy one, but I will be with you each step of the way.

[post_content] => I tend to listen and be supportive while trying to understand what is troubling my patients. I try to allow the patient to get in touch with the emotion inside them of which they might not be fully aware. I look for patterns and can be challenging when warranted. I have found that when there is a good relationship between patient and therapist, personal growth can occur, which allows patients to feel better about themselves and function better in their lives outside the therapy. I worked with veterans at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago as an outpatient psychotherapist for 35 years.

I believe each session should be individualized to meet your specific needs and goals.
